The race to the rendezvous is an unforgiving and seemingly impossible feat. Where all others have failed I will succeed. Facing the demons you envisioned as a child is a daunting task, it's almost as if it was set up. I was invited, and suddenly I see the guns drawn at me. This is supposed to break me but I made you a promise. I meant every word and now faith has taken a literal meaning. What was once a foundation for trust is now only an unsubstantiated concept. Against all forces and fires I'll fight. I was taught to fear no evil, and with that I'll bring you back.
What I saw when I arrived I'll never forget, an empty throne and my biggest fear. All but your light in that darkened room. What was done to you won't go unnoticed. Time and time again I've put it to the test and it's failed me. The feeling of incapacity; inevitable. No matter what I would've done, the outcome would have been the same. The pyramid scheme we've created defeats it's only purpose. Something not yet attained is impossible to deliver. I'm sorry for all of it, and everything I've brought forth. Never will your memory be tarnished.
